The Team Leader, Cardiopulmonary - Respiratory Therapy:
Provides direct care to patients including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
This position includes problem solving and assisting with complex patient assignments
Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment
Shows a keen awareness of budgetary responsibilities
Exhibits positive interpersonal skills as 75-80% of time is spent interacting with others
Works with all age categories. These categories are as follows:
Neonatal/Infant: 0 months
Pediatrics: 1-12 years
Adolescence: 13-17 years
Young Adult: 18-64 years
Adult: 65-79 years
Geriatric: 80+ years
The Team Leader, Cardiopulmonary - Respiratory Therapy performs the following essential job responsibilities:
Demonstrates ability to perform responsibilities of staff respiratory care practitioner
Evaluates workload and distributes assig! nments according to shift staffing
Adjusts assignments as ! necessary for new calls, emergency situations and call-off's
Available as a resource and provides assistance to shift staff
Documents all respiratory therapy records in a complete fashion, including all pertinent patient data. Documentation to include participation in multidisciplinary notes and education flow sheets.
Reports any variance in a timely fashion
Complies with time and attendance in accordance with SGHS policy
The ideal Team Leader, Cardiopulmonary - Respiratory Therapy candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
At least five years experience in the field of Respiratory Therapy
Current RCP license to practice in the state of Georgia
Respiratory skills as defined by the clinical practice guidelines set forth by the AARC
