Phlebotomist
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Description: Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring Phlebotomist right now, this position will be assigned in Georgia. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is currently seeking experienced Phlebotomists for openings at our Scottish Rite and Egleston locations as well as our Urgent Care locations.
Required Skills:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year pediatric hospital experience or at least 3 years phlebotomy experience required including venipunctures on newborns through adolescent age groups preferred and laboratory processing preferred
- CPR (American Heart Association) certified required.
- Must have knowledge of laboratory specimen collection procedures and understand basic medical terminology.
- Able to perform clerical duties (filing and receptionist activities).
- Laboratory Computer skills preferred.
- Ability to perform multiple, concurrent tasks in a frequently stressful environment while maintaining strong customer service standards in dealing with customers and co-workers.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Must have strong customer service skills related to answering telephone and interacting with a diverse customer base.
- Must have excellent prioritization skills and the! ability to manage multiple tasks, as well as good resolution ! skills. Must have skills related to teaching, assessing and training of staff.
