Columbus Regional Health is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join a busy, well established pediatric teaching practice affiliated with The Children†s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. The successful candidate will be employed by Columbus Regional Medical Group (a multi-specialty group practice of 60 doctors and twenty non-physician health professionals) with a faculty appointment to the Department of Pediatrics. This physician will join a practice with two experienced Pediatricians, a ! midlevel professional, and specialized personnel to support th! e growth of his/her practice in a regional program.The ideal candidate will be energetic, willing to teach, and eager to learn. This practice provides a large patient base with a wide range of pathology and the administrative infrastructure necessary to support a new physician.
Call is one-in-six weekends; physician will not be expected to attend C-sections/deliveries. An interest in adolescent medicine and /or developmental pediatrics is preferred but not required. The Children†s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center offers the region†s only dedicated Pediatric program. The hospital and affiliated community physicians include virtually every pediatric specialty and the Hospital supports a Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, state-of-the-art equipment, private patient rooms, specialized oncology rooms, and a Child Life Center with 2 certified child life specialists.
As one of six regional perinatal ! centers in Georgia, The Children†s Hospital serves 21 counties in southwest Georgia and Lee and Russell counties in Alabama. Columbus Regional Health is comprised of three hospitals. Midtown Medical Center is the largest of the hospitals and functions as a Level 2 Trauma Center. It is also a Neuroscience Center of Excellence, has a large Maternal Fetal Medicine practice, recently opened a newly expanded and renovated Emergency and Trauma Center for adults, utilizes advanced technology such as a 4-arm model of the daVinci Surgical Robot, and operates the John B.
