Job duties include:
Responsible for specimen collection, computer processing of patient specimens before and after collection.
Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to ages of patients served.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform venipunctures and skin punctures on all age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Exerc! ise all laboratory safety precautions and adhere to lab proced! ures as stated in procedure manuals.
Stock and monitor expenses and usage of department supplies inventory.
Fills out all requisitions and reports with completed and accurate information.
Collects all pertinent insurance information. Collects ABN form if needed.
Communicates pertinent section information/issues to supervisor, manager or other appropriate individual.
Interacts with fellow employees in a way that promotes a harmonious and cooperative working environment.
Must be self motivated to complete job duties within acceptable time limits.
Demonstrates enthusiasm and courteous behavior to both Clients and Patients.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of 1 year of prior job related experience required.
Ability to prioritize duties and attentiveness to detail required.
Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interperson! al skills required.
