Must be available to take call, work weekends, holidays and some weekdays as needed. Pediatric experience a plus. Hours will vary.
The Echocardiographer functions under the dire! ction of the System Echo Manager and Chief Technologist. Works! closely with physicians and other employees. The Echocardiographer for the Cardiology Department is responsible for all cardiac imaging that is performed in the hospital. This includes inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics and neonates. Some inpatient will be performed portable at the bedside. All outpatients will be performed in the Echo Lab.
The Echocardiographer is also responsible for all preliminary interpretation, Echocardiographic measurements and assembling of patient files. Ordering, stocking supplies, general maintenance and troubleshooting will also be the responsibility of the Echocardiographer.
Active registry through either ARDMS or CCI.
