ClientEarth is an environmental charity with a unique approach - a team of lawyers, scientists and policy specialists using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects all life on Earth. We have 300 staff in total and work in more than 60 countries globally, both through our own offices and by working with a network of approximately 50 strategic partners.

“ClientEarth Prawnicy dla Ziemi” is a Polish foundation governed by its Articles of Association (Statut). The entity is located in Warsaw, Poland. The office comprises about 30 staff working on Polish and international projects. Our work in Poland focuses on shaping and enforcing Polish and EU law across all areas of our work – from tackling climate change and protecting nature to fighting pollution and strengthening the rule of law.

Foundation “ClientEarth Prawnicy dla Ziemi” has an active and international Board of Trustees (Rada Powierników). As we extend our activities in Poland and across Europe we are looking to build an even more international and diverse Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees is the ruling, controlling, and advisory body of the Foundation. It is responsible for approving the annual financial reports. Day-to-day management of the Foundation is delegated to the Management Board which comprises the Country Head being the President of the Management Board and currently three other members.

We are specifically looking for members with backgrounds and experience in at least one of the following:

  • Senior legal experience in Poland (as a justice, managing large legal teams)
  • Experience of EU law-making
  • Public affairs experience in Poland.
  • Relevant scientific experience (for example, climate change, biology, chemicals etc.)
  • Relevant social science experience (economics, psychology, sociology etc)
