Sibley Heart Center Cardiology is a group of more than 50 pediatric cardiologists, who provide comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 with congenital or acquired heart defects. Our practice is the largest in the Southeast, with 24 locations t hroughout Georgia. Sibley Heart Center Cardiology is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Childrenâs Healthcare of Atlanta and is ranked 4th in the nation in Pediatric Cardiology by U.S. News and World Report.
We are looking for a bright and skilled college student to intern with the Marketing Department this summer and gain meaningful, useful experience in the world of pediatric healthcare marketing. In this role, you will interact with a variety of healthcare professionals including some of the best pediatric cardiologists in the Southeast. With Childrenâs Healthcare of Atlanta as our parent company, you will gain insight into our unique relationship with the stateâs most well-known pediatric hospital while helping us build and maintain relationships with pediatricians and other referring physicians throughout Atlanta. The Marketing Intern will assists in a wide spectrum of projects including, but not limited to, social media, event planning, content writing and physic ian outreach. The paid internship will take place from late May through mid-August.
Minimum Qualifications
- Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or Public Relations or related discipline required.
- Experience managing a social media site required.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement projects.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with creative and analytical problem solving.
- Strong understanding of AP Style writing with an eye for content editing and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through discipline.
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and execute marketing plans to meet company goals and objectives related to grow th, maintenance of referral base and increase market share.
- Manage engagement and strategy for the company Facebook page and monitor audience activity.
- Create, review and edit patient stories for website and Facebook.
- Assist in the maintenance of online physician directories.
- Assist in planning of CME (Continuing Medical Education) activities, including lunch lectures and conferences.
- Review marketing collateral, such as materials, mailings and website content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Accompany liaisons during physician outreach activities.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, efficiently utilizing financial resources, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring timely delivery.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
