Columbus Regional Health is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician to join a busy, well established pediatric practice affiliated with The Children†s Hospital at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. The successful candidate will be employed by Columbus Regional Medical Group (a multi-specialty group practice of 60 doctors and twenty non-physician providers) with an appointment to the Department of Pediatrics. This physician will join a practice with two experienced Pediatricians, a midlevel provider, and special! ized personnel to support the growth of his/her practice and a! regional program.The ideal candidate will be willing to teach, energetic and eager to learn. This practice provides a large patient base with a wide range of pathology and the administrative infrastructure necessary to support a new physician.
Call is one-in-six weekends; physician will not be expected to attend C-sections/deliveries. An interest in adolescent medicine and developmental pediatrics is preferred but not required. The Children†s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center offers the region†s only dedicated pediatrics program, which includes a Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensivist, Pediatric Hematology/Oncologist, Pediatric Neurologist and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. It features a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, state-of-the-art equipment, private and semi-private patient rooms, specialized oncology rooms, and a Child Life Center.
As one of six regional perinatal centers in Georgia, The Children†s H! ospital serves 21 counties in southwest Georgia and Lee and Russell counties in Alabama. Columbus Regional Health is comprised of three hospitals. Midtown Medical Center is the largest of the hospitals and functions as a Level 2 Trauma Center. Midtown Medical Center is also a Neuroscience Center of Excellence, the regional perinatal center with a large Maternal Fetal Medicine practice, recently opened a newly expanded and renovated Emergency and Trauma Center, utilizes advanced technology such as a 4-arm model of the daVinci Surgical Robot and operates the John B.
