ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Skills
While clinical staff may serve a specific patient popu! lation, they have the potential to care for patients within the age population range served at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Clinical staff will have competencies that will incorporate age specific guidelines. Demonstrates proficiency with all technical skills
Accesses and follows policies
Demonstrates fiscal responsibility and assists in development of cost saving strategies. Uses resources effectively to assist in maintaining budget
Supports and participates in monitoring performance improvement and quality control activities
Participates in maintaining and monitoring the work environment to ensure a continual state of Joint Commission readiness. Complies with infection control, safety and OSHA procedures and regulation
Assesses, organizes and synthesizes patient care data to develop and adapt a comprehensive plan of care through the use of nursing diagnoses and the nursing process. Participates in the educational process r! elated to healthcare and coordinates discharge planning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Current license in the state of Georgia as a Registered Nurse
Graduation from an approved Diploma or Associate's degree program.
Bachelor's of Nursing degree is preferred.
BLS certification is required.
PALS/PEARS certification within one year of hire as required by clinical unit
Previous Pediatric experience preferred
Must be able to successfully pass the Basic Windows skills Assessment at 80% or higher rating within 30 days of date of hire
