Staff Athletic Trainer

Description: Memorial University Medical Center is currently interviewing Staff Athletic Trainer right now, this vacancy will be depute in Georgia. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. Provides onsite athletic trainer services for specified sporting events. Responsible for the prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, disposition, treatment, and reha! bilitation of athletic injuries with referrals to physicians and Sports Medicine as appropriate.
Job Duties:
Acts as liaison between coach, athlete, parents, physicians, and Sports Medicine to endure safe and enjoyable participation in athletic endeavors.
Understands and demonstrates skill in appropriate methods of athletic training for pediatric. Adolescent and adult patients. Practices in accordance with the Georgia Practice Act, Standards of Practice of the National Athletic Trainers Association and policies and procedures of Memorial Health and its accrediting bodies.
Performs onsite treatment of athletic injuries. Monitors conditioning programs. Assists with development of protective gear.

Special Skills Required:
Athletic Training, exercise, nutrition and equipment safety knowledge.

Experience Required:
At least 3 months Athletic Training, exercise, nutrition ! and equipment safety experience.
Required Educatio! n:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in athletic training; exercise; nutrition; safety or related field. National Athletic Training Association certification; Georgia State Athletic Training license; CPR certification & NATA membership.
Must show National BOC Certification from NATA during reference checking period of employment; Georgia State Athletic Training Licensure obtained within first ninety day probation period with three months experience.
